He was very fortunate to work with the heavy weights of the South African music industry. Loyiso Bala has been mentored Lloyd and is invested in the project as Executive Musical Director.
One is about embracing South Africa’s diverse culture, racial groups, and musical influences and fuses them together in one album. He deliberately wanted to showcase his versatility by experimenting with musical genres such as rock, R&B, Urban, Hip Hop and Reggae. Inspiration is a key theme that carries throughout the album encouraging listeners to always hold onto their dreams tightly. For these reasons, Lloyd appeals to a united fan base and has won the hearts of all South Africans. He has a profound respect for all his fans that have been so loyal to him.
Each song is unique and tells its own story. ‘Make It Easy’, the first single off the album and has been taking SA radio charts by storm. The video for Make It Easy is quirky and lighthearted, featuring Lloyd in a dessert terrain being followed by circus performers while is on a quest to find his love.
The album boasts some impressive collaborations including Proverb, who laid down his rap rhymes on the song ‘Turn It Up’. Loyiso also features on the ALS love song Thando. “I was very lucky to meet and form relationships with amazing South African artists during my Idols journey. They have supported me in featuring on my album and amplify my music to new level” explains Lloyd.
