What an awesome day it is for local music! It's with great pleasure that we learn that local singing
sensation Lira has been nominated in the Best International Act in Africa
category for the 2012 BET (Black Entertainment Television) awards. Lira will be
competing against artists from other African countries including Wizkid from
Nigeria, Camp Mulla from Kenya and Sarkodie from Ghana. The 2012 BET Awards
will be hosted by Samuel L Jackson and will be broadcast on TopTV, BET (channel
190), on 3 July at 20:00.
