Red Hot Chili Peppers
drummer Chad Smith apparently Tweeted that the band will tour South Africa in
February 2013.
Channel24 reported that although there has yet to be an official
announcement regarding the rumour from any concert promoters, including Big
Concerts, who are bringing Lady Gaga to South Africa in December this year.
Chad tweeted the following: "RT @sin_says_hi: It's not a world tour if you
don't come to Africa. @RHCPchad @flea333 Just sayin'/ Ok then..Were comin in
Feb!" The Tweet had fans of the punk rockers going balistic with
excitement and they have been Tweeting feverishly with one fan saying,
"I'll stop eating food to save enough cash to go see the Red Hot Chili
Peppers in SA in Feb. Now Big Concerts must just confirm the rumour..."
Heat Magazine also Tweeted, "According to the Red Hot Chili Peppers'
drummer Chad Smith, they're coming to Africa in Feb 2013. Eek! Stoked?" Oh
yes, we are, if it's true....
