FOX International Channels has joined a host of broadcasters
and partnered with the producers of “
12-12-12” - the recently announced concert
at Madison Square Garden on 12 December 12, 2012, to aid the victims of
Hurricane Sandy. FIC will broadcast the concert on two of its channels:
National Geographic Channel (DStv Channel 181) on 13December at 18:00
CAT and 14 December on Fox
(TopTV channel 180) at 20:15. This will bring the show to a host of global
audiences available to the broadcaster in the bid to help raise awareness of
the plight of Hurricane Sandy victims. Globally, the show is set to go out to
over one billion people. FOX International Channels, will be part of a group of
broadcasters which consist of 34 US networks and television feeds worldwide,
radio and online streaming. “12-12-12”, which is presented by Chase, will be
distributed across networks and feeds in North and South America, Europe,
Africa, Asia and Australia. Tickets to “12-12-12” went on sale on Monday.
Iconic performers
Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys,
Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Eddie
Vedder, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney will perform at the event.
