Dark times for rockers 3 Doors Down

Not the best shot of Todd Harrell of 3 Doors Down
3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell has been released from a Nashville jail, reports Digital Spy. Todd was arrested in the city last Friday (19 April 19) on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular homicide. Todd posted bail of $100,000 bond following his arrest, says E! Online. The 41-year-old is alleged to have struck and killed Paul Howard Shoulders Jr while driving under the influence of alcohol. Todd was travelling in Tennessee when he is reported to have lost control of his vehicle, striking Shoulders Jr's truck. The victim - who in turn hit a guard rail and rolled over an embankment - was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Todd informed authorities that he had been drinking hard cider prior to the crash, and was under the influence of both Lortab and Xanax. The bassist has also been charged with bringing controlled substances into a jail, after he was allegedly discovered to be in possession of Oxycodone, Xanax and Oxymorphone during a search. He is due back in court on tomorrow (Thursday 25 April). The band have since cancelled four gigs, and plan to resume touring on May 31 in Moscow.
