Make no little plans, all ye gumguarded Rock ‘n Roll fans of South African soil. Make big plans, especially around August, as you will be welcomed with broad friendly arms into the warm belly of Bewilderbeast, the latest permutation of the OppiKoppi phenomenon." Now in its 19th year OppiKoppi has been described as a national treasure and is an annual institution for many street fighting rebel princes and princesses ambulating on the outskirts of law enforcement. One part rock festival, one part pilgrimage and as many parts as you can handle straight forward hedonism. Just add mint and a goodly layer of dust. OppiKoppi Bewilderbeast takes place from 8 to 10 August on the little farm we know so well. With just over 50 days to go before this year's event, the festival have named their second International act.  American alternative metal band Deftones will be performing at this year's show alongside the best local acts including Jeremy Loops, Toya Delazy, Jet Black Camaro, The Black Cat Bones, Shadowclub, Straatligkinders, Niskerone, Zakes Bantwini, Pascal & Pearce, Koos Kombuis, Arno Carstens and punk rock band Yellowcard.
