The second studio album by American hip hop recording artist
J. Cole. is quite an interesting release.
It is the follow-up to his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story,
which was released in 2011. The album features guest appearances from Miguel,
Amber Coffman, Kendrick Lamar, TLC, James Fauntleroy, 50 Cent, Bas and Jhené
Aiko. Lyrically J. Cole is one of the best around right now and this is
superbly displayed on Born Sinner. While Jay Z is releasing some bizarre lyrics
to his next project Magna Carta Holy Grail and Kanye is moving away from the
storytelling direction of rap, J. Cole is slotting himself into the subsequent
gap being opened.
