For those who watched the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards would
have seen a glimpse of the new Daft Punk music video, Lose Yourself To Dance.
It's catchy, just like their massive hit, Get Lucky. The snippet we saw
reminded us of something Michael Jackson would have done with his Don't Stop
Till You Get Enough video. Lose Yourself To Dance is a dico funk song featuring
Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams. The band said the song was the result of a
desire to create dance music with live drummers with Daft Punk member Thomas
Bangalter saying that they wishes to redefine dance music as "something
lighter or something more primal." Well, we LOVE the catchy laid back
funky tune. Pharrell Williams previously stated that the song "makes me
feel like walking down the street in the middle of the night in London and it's
1984, 1985. I don't hear '70s in that at all." If you have missed the
clip, see it below.
