Maroon 5's singer Adam Levine says his new Sexiest Man Alive
title is 'flattering and hilarious'. Music-news reports that the frontman just
topped the 2013 annual list from People Magazine, following in the footsteps of
George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. According to Adam, the honour of his
new title is strange and overwhelming. "It's bizarre," Adam told E!
News. "It's funny. It's awesome, flattering." When asked if he felt
more handsome after topping the list, Adam had to admit he did. The 34-year-old
musician said he felt his good looks have been validated. "A lot more,'
Adam joked. "I felt like today was the first day I've ever felt like I was
being a little handsome. I'm going to just be getting so much crap from
everybody I know, it's going to be interesting to endure," he
acknowledged. The singer even revealed his Victoria's Secret fiancé Behati
Prinsloo is already making fun of him. According to Adam, it's something is he
prepared to put up with for a long time. "Oh yeah, all over the
place," Adam said. "Going to be the butt of every joke for the next
six months, to a year to my entire life." Despite all the teasing he is
receiving, The Voice judge says he wouldn't mind sporting a tiara if it was
"Diamond-encrusted, like something CeeLo would wear'. Adam brushes off
being made fun of because the Sexiest Man Alive award is a huge honour.
"No, it's flattering," Adam insisted. "It's funny, it's awesome,
it's a huge part [of pop culture]...You know, it's an iconic thing. It's
amazing... It's just, it is funny, it is definitely funny. It's flattering and
hilarious."
