Here's your chance to meet super rockers The Parlotones! The band will be holding an exclusive meet and greet at IL Grande NuMetro cinema in Montecasino during the SAMA week end. Fans and the press are invited to come and meet The Parlotones on Saturday 21 May.
Neil Pauw will be launching his thrilling display of 30 paintings at the meet and greet. The collection of acrylic paintings is a colourful, vibrant journey into the creative mind of Neil as he uses experimental techniques to produce the intoxicating collection. Each has a story and each draws you in, refusing to let go. The exhibition opens at 12pm and will be the first time the public will be able to view it.
Following the exhibition fans will be treated to a live performance where the band will be performing tracks from their forthcoming acoustic album Eavesdropping on the songs of Whales for the first time. The performance starts at 1:45pm in the foyer of the NuMetro cinema to the backdrop of drummer Neil Pauws portraits.
The Parlotones have just wrapped up recording their first studio acoustic album. Aptly titled Eavesdropping on the songs of whales the album is set for release on the 6th June 2011. Eavesdropping on the songs of whales is a stripped down interpretation of the band’s music where the absence of electrical amplification will leave you breathless.
The album artwork has been designed by drummer Neil Pauw and is an adaptation of one of his paintings. The cover will showcase Neil’s vivid artistic talents and is one of 30 that will be on display at the meet and greet.
The event will be a one of a kind experience and a rare opportunity for fans to mingle, sip on cocktails and appreciate the sights and sounds that art and music have to offer.
