The Parlotones will be performing at The Grand Arena on the 6th August 2011 to raise awareness to the CarbonWorx Carbon free campaign. The Parlotones have been chosen to be the drive’s spokespersons and the performance is part of a series of successful concerts to raise awareness.
The Parlotones are no strangers to the fight against Global Warming and understand the importance of education, lending their high profile to initiatives such as Live Earth, Earth Hour and Live Earth’s Run for Water. The band practice what they preach and embark on Meat Free Mondays doing their best to go beyond the gesture and reduce their carbon footprint.
“A cause affecting the world, more so the future of the world is global warming. We have been big campaigners for both Earth Hour and Live Earth, trying to convince fans to change slight living habits to affect a big change.” Says lead singer Kahn Morbee. “We are not really here to preach to our fans. We can create awareness and our fans can digest it and react in whatever way.” Kahn added.
Tickets to the show can be bought through Computicket.
