Rumours that British super star
Adele is suffering from throat cancer, seems to be complete bollocks! The 23-year-old 'Someone Like You' singer, who recently cancelled all performances for the rest of the year and announced plans to have throat surgery, was rumoured to have been diagnosed with a serious disease but her representative has insisted that the speculation is "false". "We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a haemorrhaged vocal cord," her spokesperson told Us Weekly. "All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false." A statement on Adele's website a few days ago read: "It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011." It explained that "a full recovery is expected" after the medical procedure, adding that the star will have to "rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments". Adele was previously forced to cancel her tour of the US arranged for this month after doctors told her she needed more time to recover from illness. She had been scheduled to play dates in New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Texas across October.
