Gavin Rossdale and his alt rock group Bush is back with a brand-new CD, The Sea of Memories. This will be the band's 5th CD, almost a decade after Golden State in 2001 and their initial breakup in 2002. The Sea of Memories is the first Bush album to be released on the bands imprint Zuma Rock/David Gresham Records in South Africa. The first single The Sound of Winter is only the seventh alternative single in Billboard chart history to go to number 1 off an independent label. Bush have sold a combined total of 10.9 Million albums in the United States and will be touring with Chevelle and Filter for the new album.  Bush have peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Alternative airplay chart for the 5th time in their career with the first single off the new album called “The Sound of Winter”, this single is the band’s latest number one after “The Chemicals between us” hit the summit of the charts 12 years ago.  The Sound of Winter knocked “Walk” by the Foo Fighters off the top spot to further establish the band as a major force in today’s alternative rock scene.
