Ten of South Africa's hottest amateur DJs will be mixin' and stylin' for their lives as they battle it out to be crowned “McDonald's Top Jock” at the electrifying Grand Finale on 30 March 2012. Hosted by McDonald's South Africa and MTV Base at The Venue, Melrose Arch, the McDonald's Top Jock Grand Finale will feature a thrilling contest between finalists from 10 regional heats, hand-picked by judge and beatmaster DJ Euphonik on University campuses all around the country. The ultimate winner will be chosen by established DJ stars DJ Poppy, DJ Euphonik, DJs Switch and Redwood and MVD, in front of hundreds of music fans, VIPs and celebrities.  The DJs will also perform live sets at the Grand Finale, alongside 2011 Top Jock Winner: electro-house DJ Master Morgan. The winning “spin doctor” will be announced by DJ Euphonik and rewarded with a 12-month DJ course and R100,000 worth of prizes.  The winner will also have the chance to showcase his/her skills to a wider audience by appearing on MTV (DStv Channel 321) and MTV Base (DStv Channel 322). Among the DJ wannabes inspired to battle it out for prime position and Top Jock fame will be Thula Nombika (heat winner: Wits University), Sandile Ngetu (heat winner: UJ Kingsway), Simphiwe Gama (heat winner: TUKS), Bongani Mziza (heat winner:  TUT PTA), Thato Tshabala (heat winner: UJ AP), Tshepang Motaung (heat winner: UFS), Jonathan Brown (heat winner: UCT), Malope Makhura  (heat winner: UL Turfloop), Moosa Patel (heat winner: Stellies) and Thato Ramoshaba (heat winner: Westville).
