Argentina fans of Björk was left disappointed when the
Icelandic singer forced to cancel two shows in Buenos Aires after it was
discovered that she has a nodule on her vocal chords. Music-news reports that
she wrote on her official site and Facebook page, saying: "I’m sorry to
say that i have a nodule on my vocal chords ... therefore cannot complete
buenos aires gigs ... shame , as i really love the city and would have loved to
stay longer . i hope i can go back later soon !!!" It is still uncertain
if the situation is serious or if she will undergo surgery. Nodules have
affected many singers at sometime in their careers and are usually caused by
vocal strain, something that is becoming even more frequent due to the
importance of touring in the current business environment. Most recently, Adele
underwent surgery for the condition.
