Adele expecting first child

British super star Adele has announced that she is expecting her first child with Simon Konecki, reports Digital Spy. The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer confirmed the news through a statement on her website on 29 June. In a blog post titled 'I've Got Some News', Adele said: "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx" There were reports in March claiming that Adele had told boyfriend Konecki that she was prepared to start a family with him. Earlier this year, it was also rumoured that Adele and Konecki would become engaged. The Grammy-winning superstar has broken multiple records this year with her 2011 album 21. She recently surpassed Michael Jackson's Thriller in all-time UK sales and made chart history in the US.
