The 19th edition of the
Grammy Awards nominees CD is actually
one of the few that stands out. The previous CDs in the collection featured
bland and uncreative songs with only a few highlights here and there. But the
2013 CD give pop connoisseurs one-stop shopping for songs from 22 of this
year’s highest-profile nominees. Artists featured on the collection are Adele,
Alabama Shakes, the Black Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay, Florence & The
Machine, Fun. featuring Janelle Monáe, Gotye, Hunter Hayes, Carly Rae Jepsen,
the Lumineers, Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, Mumford & Sons,
Muse, Frank Ocean, Katy Perry, Pink, Ed Sheeran, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor
Swift, and Jack White. The CD is a treasure chest of cool songs, and for me
Mumford & Sons, Black Keys, Muse and P!nk are the top performers on this
CD.
