Ms Knowles-Carter at the 2013 inauguration |
ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, with non-stop
international sports action, on DStv channel 230, will be the television home
of one of the world’s biggest sporting events as it broadcasts live coverage of
Super Bowl XLVII from New Orleans, where the San Francisco 49ers will take on
the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday 3 February. We in South Africa will see it live
on Monday 4 February at 01:00 the morning. This will mean that South African
fans of
Destiny's Child and
Beyoncé will also see the diva perform at the
big halftime show of the event. Rumours are rife that her fellow Destiny's
Child ladies might join her on stage at the spectacular event. For her upcoming
Super Bowl halftime show performance, Beyonc
é dishes to GQ magazine, “One
of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an
athlete, "adding, "You know how they sit down and watch whoever
they're going to play and study themselves? That's how I treat this.” Let's
just home Mr Knowles-Carter won't lip-sync through the performance as she's
rumoured to have done with the recent President Obama's inauguration. But then
on the other hand, Madonna lip-synched her way through her 2012 Super Bowl
half-time performance last year, as did the late Whitney Houston in her 1991
Super Bowl rendition of the national anthem. . .
