English alternative rock band
Keane have announced details
of their greatest hits album. The Very Best of Keane will be released on
November 11 and includes all the hits from their five studio albums, which have
collectively sold over 11 million copies. "It's over a decade ago that we
were busy making our first record Hopes & Fears," singer Tom Chaplin
said in a statement. "Having got together in the mid '90s, things took a
while to get going for us as a band, but once they did, it became an incredible
ride! We've had five consecutive number one albums, toured the world countless
times and experienced some very heady days. "We wanted to put something
out there to mark this milestone, to say thank you to all our fans and to try
and send you all on a journey through the songs which we're most proud
of." The retrospective features 18 fan favourites from their five records
as well as two brand new songs, 'Higher Than The Sun' and 'Won't Be Broken'. A
deluxe edition of the release also includes all of their B-sides, while the
super deluxe version is accompanied by a DVD of a new acoustic set of their
songs chosen by fans.
