Yet another sad day in the music world. Soul veteran Bobby Womack died Friday. He was 70. Bobby is remebered as the legendary voice behind classic soul hits such as "Across 110th Street" and "Woman's Gotta Have It". The respected soul site SoulTracks.com described his career as "a link from '50s gospel to '60s soul to '70s rock, and to some of the greatest musicians in each genre. BBC News reports that the cause of death was not yet known, but Bobby had suffered from cancer and Alzheimer's disease and 'battled with drug addiction'. Rest in peace, Bobby....your music will live on forever.
