CONFIRMED! U2 to release new CD this year

Finally! Irish rockers U2 has confirmed their long awaited new album will be released this year. Digital Spy reports that A spokesperson for the band has dismissed rumours about a delay to the record until 2015, telling Rolling Stone: "We've always said an album is expected this year." U2's last album was 2009's No Line on the Horizon and included singles 'Get on Your Boots' and 'Magnificent'. Since the release of their last record, the band have worked with producers including will.i.am, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder and David Guetta. Ok, David Guetta? Will it then have the same vibe as their CD, Pop? Mmm, waiting in anticipation!
