Are you looking for the perfect soundtrack to warm up your festive season? Then tune into Mzansi Magic Music on DStv Channel 321 every Saturday for a blast of sizzling hot music from the legendary Vinny Da Vinci. Vinny’s House kicks off on Saturday, 15 November 2014 at 19:00 – and puts one of South Africa’s most loved DJs and producers in the heart of homes across the country as they celebrate the best season of the year! With parties and get-togethers being the order-of-the-day, Vinny will be offering up a head-spinning music mix each Saturday that’s perfectly brewed for summertime. The iconic mixmaster won’t be alone in bringing the party into South African homes: each week Vinny’s House will feature a special guest star to keep the beats rolling. Among those destined to step into Vinny’s House are DJ Ganyani, Tim White, Ralf Gum, Julian Gomez, Christos and Mbuso – in short, the who’s who of Mzansi House music, both legends and newcomers! “Vinny’s House is the first of its kind on Mzansi Magic Music. This show is guaranteed to attract house heads, focusing on the technical art of DJing with one of the masters at work. We intend to take viewers on an exciting ride where they will have access to exclusive Deep House song selections,” says Nkateko Mabaso, Director of Local Interest Channels at M-Net. Vinny himself needs no introduction to devoted House music fans. He is considered one of the most established figures on the South African dance music scene and has galvanised deep club culture over two decades. His influence has not just been as a DJ – although he’s revered by fans and peers for his ability on the ones and twos, a skill that was honed in the 90s. Vinny is also one of the original music entrepreneurs. Through his partnership in the House Afrika empire, Vinny has overseen many top-selling compilations, including the ‘House Afrika: Deep House Sounds’ and ‘Africanism’ series, all of which he compiled and mixed. As a producer he’s broken ground with the DJs At Work project alongside longtime friend, DJ Christos. Together they have released five critically acclaimed, platinum-selling studio albums and a slew of top-notch deejay mixes. "Vinny’s house has been a long timing coming and I know SA is ready for it. Big up to Mzansi Magic Music for having the vision to launch it, and to all my longstanding DJ friends and House Afrika family for supporting me. Viewers are in for a real treat,” says Vinny Da Vinci. Vinny continues to specialise in his signature deep house style, breaking new music and educating his audience. He has deejayed with several of his international peers visiting South Africa - including “Little Louie” Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer, Charles Webster and Jazzy Jeff – and now he’s getting ready to DJ for Mzansi Magic Music viewers. Summer will never be the same again!
