CD REVIEW: Lady Gaga - Born This Way (Universal Music)

The reigning Queen of Pop doesn't know when to hold back - and it's a damn good thing! Her latest studio offering, Born This Way sounds like a more grown-up version of her debut CD, The Fame. Where The Fame dealt with themes of being rich and famous, dancing, falling in love, and all that kind of stuff, Born This Way touches on more serious stuff like religion, not being accepted and crushed love affairs. Serious stuff!! With that said, Born This Way is pure dance. Songs that got THE BEAT excited include Government Hooker, Fashion of His Love, Judas and Hair. Interestingly, the song You and I have elements of Queen's mega hit We Will Rock You and Queen guitarist, Brian May, even appears in the song. Born This Way is not a lyrical best offer, but if you enjoy Gaga's music, you'll LOVE this one.
* The CD will be released in SA on Friday 27 May. It was released in America on Monday 23 May.
