South African rock outfit Watershed has announced a national 3-month tour that kicks off in Johannesburg this month. The “Laying New Tracks” tour will be driven by front-man Craig Hinds and will cover large and small venues in major cities and towns across the country. One of the highlights of the tour is that Watershed will be showcasing some new material including their new single Water, which is scheduled to hit the radio and television airwaves in the coming weeks. “We are using this tour as an opportunity to perform the songs that people know, but will also be playing some new material that we have written for our new album which will be out in 2012,” said Craig Hinds, who is also working on his debut solo project, which will be out next year as well. The setting for the shows will be very intimate with Craig taking fans on a journey on how each song was created and sharing some personal insights as a member of one of South Africa’s leading and long-standing bands. Craig will be joined on stage by talented guitarist Ian Bushell and James Sunney on double bass and vocals.
