Fans of Irish indie rock outfit Snow Patrol must take a deep breath before listening to the band's six CD Fallen Empires - it's a bit different then their normal soft and radio friendly rock. The Chasing Cars and Run singers, who are known for songs so swooningly sensitive they can make Coldplay sound like the Sex Pistols, as rollingstone.com explains, adds a sprinkling of electronic dub-step dance beats and gospel to their sound. It's not bad or completely way out as the band does this very tastefully. Fallen Empires is a step down from their brilliant 2003 CD Final Straw, but a step up from their 2008 CD, A Hundred Million Suns. It's middle-of-the-road rock with some new surprises.
