Green Day provide CSI: New York soundtrack

Mac Taylor and the lads and ladies of CSI: New York will gets some musical help from punk rockers Green Day in an upcoming episode of the cop drama. The 'American Idiot' band are said to have allowed several tracks from their new album trilogy ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! to be used in an upcoming episode of CSI: New York. The songs will be used to help narrate several action sequences in an episode about the murder of a political candidate, reports CBS Local. "We were stoked when we found out CSI:NY wanted to use our music instead of dialogue to narrate the first few acts of the episode," a statement from the band said. "It's the first time something like this has been done on the series, and we are blown away with what we've seen." Tracks for the episode will include 'Stop When The Red Lights Flash', 'Amy', 'Night Life', 'The Forgotten' and 'Kill The DJ'. The episode in question will air on Friday 19 October in America.
