CD REVIEW! Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

It’s a sad goodbye from “The Twilight Saga,” and the soundtrack (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2) reflects a chocked up melancholia that lingers over the sound like dust over old boxes of family photos. The fourteen-track album contains a few numbers that harken straight back to the original tone of the Twilight Saga, like St. Vincent's "The Antidote" and Feist's "Fire in the Water" - both of which are bound to be an instant fan favorites. It's safe to say that the album is more focused on delivering a soulful sound that is neither too arcane, nor too mainstream. It features Green Day, Ellie Goulding and more and that will help you with withdrawal symptoms. Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the film, makes an appearance on the instrument-stripped piano ballad “All I’ve Ever Needed,” alongside her husband and former “American Idol” contestant Paul McDonald.
