‘Breathing’ is the brand new single by singer-songwriter,
Jesse Clegg which features talented songstress, Shekhinah.
The latest offering is the latest single off of his upcoming
album, ‘Things Unseen,’ set to be released this June. Jesse is fresh off of a
massive North American tour, which saw him play 35 shows and drove 17 000
miles.
‘Breathing’ was recorded in Light Stain Studios in
Potchefstroom and B Sharp Studios in Johannesburg, and it was produced by SAMA
nominated Denholm Harding.
When asked about the concept behind the song, Jesse Clegg
had this to say, “I wanted it to feel like an emotional song but still upbeat
and full of energy. I wrote ‘Breathing,’ with a female collaborator in mind,
and when I heard Shekhinah's music, I knew that she had an amazing voice and a
great vibe. It was awesome recording it with her and she brought a lot of
emotion to the song. It is about two people who have to help each other to find
a way out of a dark situation. A collaboration on the track made sense and she
immediately got what the song was about and brought her own unique intensity to
it.”
