Enter The Sick-Leaves, an established rock artist from Pretoria, who has twice been nominated for a SAMA in the category Best Alternative Album: English (2007 & 2009) for the first and second albums Tunnel Vision and Stone the Crow. The Sick-Leaves is actually a solo project Eksteen Jacobsz who is the songwriter, vocalist, bassist and guitarist, but as a live act, Eksteen ropes in two friends to form a three-piece live act. For those who are unfamiliar with The Sick-Leaves, the best to describe is resonances of U2, The Killers, Coldplay and The Beatles - a classic rock style. The Sick-Leaves new EP ‘Breaking Away’ is currently being mixed by producer Darryl Torr for digital release later this month. Eksteen's cover of the Roy Orbison’s song Crying is an absolute winner!
