Catch the fever with Freshlyground & Goldfish

Freshlyground

They are two of South Africa's top groups and now they've combined their unique musical styles for one goal - to create the buzz for Rugby World Cup 2011. Afro pop group Freshlyground and electro wizards Goldfish have joined forces to record the song Let's Do It Again, as support for the Springbokke ahead of the World Cup Rugby 2011, which starts in 100 day as of today 1 June, and to create a buzz for the Bokke as part of the South African Rugby Union's Unite 2011 campaign. “We hope the song becomes the soundtrack to a national mobilisation in the support of the Springboks,” said Jurie Roux, CEO of SARU. “It is just one part of a number of initiatives we’re launching to allow fans to show their support of the team and become part of the campaign. There are now just 100 days to go until the tournament kicks off and we believe we can recapture the spirit of national unity that marked the Springboks’ previous Rugby World Cup victories in 1995 and 2007 and also last year’s soccer world cup.” Freshlyground also collaborated with Shakira on Waka Waka, the official anthem of the FIFA 2010 World Cup.
