Hooray for Freshlyground! The jewel of local music has embarked on a 17-date tour of America and Canada where they will perform their unique fusion of rock, jazz and Afro-pop. One of their biggest shows is scheduled to take place in New York, where they will perform alongside jazz legend Hugh Masekela and Ugandan vocalist Somi. They will also appear at the Montreal Jazzfest alongside heavyweights such as Prince, Angelique Kidjo and Ben Harper. Other cities on their tour include Chicago, Washington, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle and Boston.
