CD Review: Seether - Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray (Musketeer Records)

Seeing rockers Seether live for the first will blow you away. Listening to their music will blow you away. But on their new CD, Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray, they will blow you into another galaxy. It's the best record the former South Africans has ever recorded - and you can quote us on that! If you thought that the first single from the CD, Country Song, was good, then there is a suprise that awaits you while listening to the rest of the CD. Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray is a rollercoaster of melodies, which are all different from one another. Tracks like “Roses” seem like a sharp knife directly aimed at a certain person. While tracks like Country Song proceed to once again give their fans a glimpse into the bands sense of humour. They’ve created an album that will bring out the best and worst emotions in you once again and leave you wanting more. That’s by no means a bad thing. The CD is comprised of 12 tracks which are filled with raw emotion, personal yet powerful lyrics and the trademark vocals that are laid down by Shaun Welgemoed which will haunt you day and night.
