New Limp Bizkit

So, Fred Durst and the boys are back with a new single, Shotgun. The song is taken from their new CD, Gold Cobra. The song is not a new style or anything, which is a bit of a bumber. Shotgun is your typical angst filled song that is so much part of Limp Bizkit. The big question is, does it still apply to todays musical trends? Despite selling millions of albums in the '90s, Limp Bizkit have struggled in recent years to recapture past glories. In 2005 they released a greatest hits album which guitarist Wes Borland described as "a piece of shit and a waste of money." Borland subsequently quit the band - for the second time - having previously quit in 2001, only to rejoin three years later. The original Limp Bizkit line-up reunited in 2009 for a series of festival dates, including the UK's Sonisphere. Durst recently indicated that a follow-up to 'Gold Cobra' has already been written. He wrote on Twitter: "Obviously we have two albums here, in case you didn't pick up on that. First one is Gold Cobra. Due soon." So, let's see if the band will stay "limp" or prove to be a mega-hit for them...
