Depeche Mode's Martin Gore has reunited with former member Vince Clarke for a new project, reports Digital Spy. This will mark the first time the pair have worked together since Vince left Depeche Mode in 1981. They will release under the name VCMG. Martin explained that Vince emailed him about the idea "out of the blue". He said: "Out of the blue I got an email from Vince just saying, 'I'm interested in making a techno album. Are you interested in collaborating?'" The album will be released some time in 2012, with an EP titled Spock released next week, on 30 November. Vince has since made a big name for himself with groups including Erasure and Yazoo since leaving Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode's last studio album was 2009's Sounds of the Universe. It is rumoured that band will start recording on their new album soon.
