Singer songwriter Jason Hartman has released, ‘Say My Name’, the much-anticipated first single off his forthcoming second album set for release in early 2012. Hartman, who shot to fame as the joint winner of Idols in 2009, wrote the song and once again teamed up with esteemed producer Marius Brouwer, who has worked with the likes of Nianell and Hulle. “The single has taken my vocal range to another level and I am excited about everything about it, from production through to the melody and lyrics,” said Jason, who has had a busy 2011 what with opening for the Eagles at the Royal Wedding festivities in Monaco, being selected as ambassador for the International Anti-Poaching Foundation and a appearing in a role in the local movie A Million Colours. “Jason is an example of the exceptional talent we have in South Africa and ‘Say My Name’ is just a taste of what is to come in 2012,” said Spiro Damaskinos, Director, RCA/ Jive. The single has been officially released to radio this week and will be available for download on Nokia Music Store in November. A tour is planned for 2012 around the launch of the new album and will tie in with raising awareness around various conservation projects that Jason is involved in, including the International Anti Poaching Foundation. The single and album will be released on Sony Music.
