With Easter around the corner, we take a look at three CDs
that is perfect for music lovers - young and old. Some of the CDs will have you rocking to nostalgic pop and rock and others are just pure club music pleasure.

If you are one of those people who can't wait for 5FM's
Cheese Of The Day track on the DJ Fresh show, then this CD is a gem! The Cheese
of the Day is one of the most popular and successful features on 5FM’s Fresh
Drive. The feature runs every afternoon from 17:35pm and classic “cheesy”
(70’s, 80’s, 90’s & dance) tracks are played for listeners to “sing along
in the traffic”. This 3 CD set were chosen by 5FM listeners and it's great fun
CD of songs from way back then (actually, some of the songs were mega hits when
I was at school...oops, think I just gave my age away!) Some of the
"fun" tracks on this 60 song collection include Ice Ice Baby
(Vanillia Ice) It's My Life (Dr Alban), Walk Like An Egyptian (The Bangles),
Joyride (Roxette) and Straing Up (Paula Abdul). Total cheesy songs for a great
driving experience!
Various - The Best Of Springbok Radio Top 40
During 1950 - 1985 Springbok Radio ruled the South Africa
airwaves. The radio station was the number one stop for all things music. In an
attempt to mix the nostalgia pot, a best of the Springkbok Radio CD collection
has now been released in a 2-disc set. It's a great mixture of songs from way
back then and now. It's features songs from the 70's and 80's. CD 1 kicks off
with Queen (I Want To Break Free) and also includes Suzi Quatro's She's In Love
With You, Clout's Substitute and Gleny's Lynne's Ramaja. CD 2 features John
Lennon, UB40, Level 42 and Laura Branigan to name a few. An AWESOME collection
for those who like the nostalgia music.
Various - The Best Club Anthems 2012
If you like your doof doof music a bit more harder, then
Kevin Grenfell's three disc compilation, The Best Club Anthems 2012, is right
up your alley. The 51-track dance tunes can be a bit monotonous at times, but
Kevin throws in some surprising songs just to give it that extra edge, like
the Fedde Le Grand remix of the Coldplay hit Paradise. Other floor bangers include
Martin Solveig song Big In Japan Davig Guetta with Usher song Without You
(Armin Van Buren remix). It’s a great CD collection if you wanna get your party
startin’ and should appeal to dance music lovers.
