Slikour sets the record straight

Slikour
A story published by The Sunday World on Sunday 29 April about local muso Slikour’s song Black Are Fools that were banned by the SABC, has literally let lose a cat among the pigeons. But now it seems the allegations were false. In a statement released by his agency, Buttabing Entertainment, they quote SABC Head of Group Communications Kaiser Kganyago, saying ‘’If a song is derogatory, incites violence or has swear words, we will not play it. That has not happened with Slikour’s song.’’ In response to the story and the allegations, Slikour has also finally opened up and said:  As a patriotic citizen of this wonderful country I appreciate the opportunity to reach out to my compatriots through music and relish in the rightful freedoms afforded to all South Africans by our beloved constitution.”
