Zahara's Live DVD recording
Afro-pop megastar Zahara is riding the wave of success at
the moment after scooping a staggering eight SAMA Music Awards at end April.
The singer, whose real name is Bulelwa Mkutukana, is set to record her first
ever live DVD recording at Carnival City on the 8th and 9th of June 2012 with
American Top 10 X-Factor finalist, Leroy Bell who is noted for having composed
the Emmy nominated “Mama Can’t Buy You Love” for Elton John. Aptly titled “The
Beginning”, the show is put together by the artist’s recording label, TS
Records and EMI Music/CCP Records in conjunction with SABC1 and DRUM Magazine,
and promises to be a magnificent one in celebration of the blossoming flower that
Zahara has become, “The Beginning” of her unwavering growth within the
industry. The DVD is set to deliver international standards that have become
the norm with any work associated with the star. The live show performance aims
to capture a high quality of entertainment and artistry with dancers and live
instruments for the evening. Also sharing the stage with Zahara will be fellow
stable mate at TS Records, Riot; the Grammy Award winning Soweto Gospel Choir
and singer-songwriter, Leroy Bell. Music lovers and Zahara supporters will be
able to enjoy the show by purchasing tickets from Computicket and Shoprite with
seating prices ranging between R180 and R250. The show is set to be recorded on
both 8 and 9 June 2012 and will stand as an attestation to Zahara’s burgeoning
career, not only in South Africa but across our borders.
