CD REVIEW! Slash - Apocalyptic Love

The former Guns 'N' Roses' guitarist's second studio album is a whole lot of old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll. Slash is joined by vocalist Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators and one thing that jumps to the foreground listening to the CD are the riffs that occupy centre stage. What we have here is an album full of great songs, perfectly timed guitar solos and a band (The Conspirators) who work so well together that you want more once the album has finished.  Sobriety is obviously serving Slash quite well as his creative juices flow like a wild river and every song has a solid hook. Apocalyptic Love is a kick-ass rock album that will have every rock and Guns 'N' Roses lover begging for more. Killer tracks are One Last Thrill, Anastasia, Hard & Fast and Shots Fired.
