ABBA set to release "new" ABBA

It's time to once again dust off your platform shoes and get out the heavy eye shadow as Swedish pop stars ABBA is set to re-release their 1975 hit CD, ABBA! Digital Spy reports that the Mamma Mia singers' deluxe set includes classic hits 'SOS' and 'Bang-a-boomerang' as well as three bonus tracks, all of which have been remastered for the release. A DVD will also accompany the LP, featuring 60 minutes of previously unreleased television performances as well as their 1976 television special in Australia, which originally garnered higher ratings in the country than the moon landing. The package also includes a 24-page booklet featuring an extensive essay on the making of the album, including stories and insights from Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.
