Taxi Violence gearing up for CD number four

Taxi Violence
Cape Town rockers and seasoned SA music veterans, Taxi Violence will release their fourth studio album in July 2013, Soul Shake. The CD is a collection of 11 brand new tracks, recorded and produced by Brendyn “Rusti” Rossouw at Heritage Sound Studios, and mixed by the legendary Theo Crous at Bellville Studios. The band recorded half of Soul Shake in 2012, and released the tracks as free downloads on 14 December – one day only. This was an early Christmas gift to fans and Taxi’s way of thanking them for their rabid support. The rest of the album was completed in March 2013. With Soul Shake, Taxi Violence decided to go back to doing what they do best: rocking out. A complete departure from their 2011 release, Unplugged: Long Way From Home. “We’ve gone back to playing straight-up rock ‘n roll songs – very similar to songs from our first and second albums. But a lot faster and a lot harder,” drummer Louis Nel explained. The first single lifted from the new CD is Brainmash, which you can listen to, HERE. The band will support the release of the CD with a national tour.
