Lady Gaga has decided that her new CD,
ARTPOP, will be
accompanied by a new app, says Digital Spy. The singer will release an app for
iOS and Android devices in support of her third studio album ARTPOP, as part of
a multimedia project. "The ARTPOP app is Free, available in App Stores on
your device," Gaga tweeted. "You can purchase the music through the
ARTPOP app once it's downloaded. "Or you can purchase the album at the
music store+download the free app separately at the app store. The App is
Available Worldwide," she went on, before adding: "The APP is in
essence, an interactive jewel case." The star also confirmed that her fans
will be able to socialise through the app, once the album is released
worldwide. Lady Gaga will release 'Applause' and premiere its accompanying
music video on 19 August as the first single to be lifted from ARTPOP. The new
collection will also be available to pre-order on the same day and will follow
later in the year on 11 November.
