FOO FIGHTERS! Francois van Coke performing as one of the support acts for Foo Fighters concert in Cape Town on 10 December

Francois van Coke is without a doubt one the most renowned and iconic frontmen in South Africa. As the legendary lead singer of Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel, he has in over a decade delivered thousands of epic performances across South Africa, Europe and in the East; on large and small stages alike. As a member of this country’s two most influential Afrikaans rock bands and as a solo artist, Francois has shared the stage with 30 Seconds to Mars, Metallica, Die Antwoord, Seether, Billy Talent, Jack Parow, Arno Carstens and Die Heuwels Fantasties, amongst others. Now, Francois will have the opportunity to cross the Foo Fighters off his bucket list.  He will be performing one song, Lakeside, with BLK JKS at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday 10 December. “I am a huge Foo Fighters fan. I saw them live in 2012 at Reading Festival in England.  It was one of the best shows I’ve seen in my entire life. I can’t wait to see them again in Cape Town,” says Francois. Shortly after this show, Francois and his guitarist, Jedd Kossew, will hit the road to go on their fourth solo tour this year.
