Five times SAMA nominated, MTV MAMA Award winning band, Gangs of Ballet is Durban-based comprising of three musicians and friends. Each accomplished musicians in their own rights, the band’s members have combined their various individual tastes and styles to create a sound that is captivatingly fresh. The WINTYR is an alternative // folktronic trio making music in the cities ofCape Town & London. Consisting of songwriter and frontwoman Evelyn Hart, Tristan Carmicheal (synth, piano & guitars) and Brendyn Rossouw (percussion), the group was formed in studio as they came together to write material and produce tracks for Evelyn’s solo album. The collaboration resulted in a significant progression in sound and energy, characterised by ethereal vocals, soaring synths and warlike oriental-inspired percussion. Combined with a storyteller’s depth, The WINTYR’s music has been described as cinematic & emotive.

Bed on Bricks is a fiery funk-hop act with incendiary, hard-rocking live performances. They have 3 studio albums (Humanarium 2003, If you see Kay 2005, and Royal Honey 2008) and a live acoustic album, Takeaways, in 2006 and a “best of” 10 year anniversary album. Members are, Dave van der Linden (guitar), Mike Hardy (vocals), Tim Rankin (drums) and Schalk van der Merwe (bass). Bed on Bricks are into the sweetness of life at the Southern tip of Africa and playing their instruments for the love of it. And man do they love it!
