Sometimes you hear a song that just make you stop in your
tracks and listen. And sometime that song is so hauntingly beautiful you get a warm
feeling. Listening to former Idols (2003) contestant Jacques Terre'Blanche's
rendition of Lucas Maree's Droomvrou is that kind of song. Stunning. Beautiful. Visually printed into your mind. After the death of his dad Ettiëne
last year, Jacques decided to venture out in the Afrikaans music scene and
recorded his dad's favourite song. Says Jacques, “This song is the very first
song my father introduced me to as a little boy.Being the hopeless romantic he was, I always
knew he shared the sentiment of the deeper meaning of the lyric.”
