JUNKSISTA - 'High voltage confessions'
Strong from the tsunami wave of response received from every corner of the world by their "Bad Case Of Fabulous" CD as well as its, no less than, 5 singles taken from this exciting album, JUNKSISTA did not take any time to rest. JUNKSISTA is already now back with their next full length shockwave entitled "High Voltage Confessions": an album that will once again undoubtedly generate lots of ink, blood, sweat, laugh, love and tears... “High Voltage Confessions” sounds like nothing else but what artists can produce when they do not deny their origins, when they do not try to follow trends and when they pursuit their very own and unique style... The German duo offers us again their characteristic fresh and electric mix of bursting grooves, funky guitars, deep bass lines, catchy synth tunes, sensual half-sung half-spoken female vocals and JUNKSISTA's signature touch of tongue-in-cheek humour...Versatile per definition and danceable per provocation, this new album is another sparkling cocktail of Pop, Electro, Rock, Funk and Dance, allowing both Boog and Diana S. to mix their eclectic wide range of influences at wish without any reserve, but also to sharpen and grow even more as producers, songwriters and lyricists. A clear maturity progression making their sonic message maybe a little less obvious and direct by adding some depth to the overall production while still keeping that straight "sing-along-in-no-time" catchiness, that second-degree "fun" approach, that unique authenticity that make JUNKSISTA who they are and what they are loved for... While the recent "Live A Little" single made us wet for more with its irresistible pole dance cabaret groove, JUNKSISTA's new album guarantees you some more intense and highly emotional moments with songs like “Happiness”, “Confide”, the German-sung "Strom" or yet “The Truth”. "High Voltage Confessions" also of course holds its load of party songs with guaranteed dance floor hits like the conflicting "I Hate You", the sexy "True Love" or yet the carrying opener "Get A Grip". The album also features some special and juicy collaborations: with renowned singer, actress and 80's icon Jane Badler (remember the sexually charged villain Diana of cult classic television program ‘V’?) on "Live A Little", with Suicide Girl Gogo Blackwater on the memorable and addictive "Panties" as well as with live-member and designer artist Gaëlle Cinnamon for her lush Lolita-ish French vocals on the vintage synth pop "I Said". JUNKSISTA's hardcore fans will of course favour the in-your-face dirtiness of songs like "Strictly Physical", "Sex On A Stick" or yet the unmatched hyper groovy hip-hop anthem "P.I.T.T." (Punch In The Twat) featuring hilarious vocal recordings from fans who joined a competition organised by the band on their junk galore blog... A high energy and pretty much addictive masterpiece to enjoy and consume without moderation: dance and shake your ass to JUNKSISTA in the most inappropriate way – no worry – we all will!!! "High Voltage Confessions" also comes out as a deluxe carton box edition with some fan goodies and a 10-track bonus disc revealing 2 extra unreleased songs plus 8 remixes by other artists revisiting JUNKSISTA's multi-coloured universe like LAYZEE (former Rapper of the 90's Eurodance superstars Mr.President), vintage synth act and label mates METROLAND, MA PUBLIC THERAPY, EBM killers CRYO, IMAGINARY WAR, RESTRICTION 9, DEKAD and JUNKSISTA themselves…
AVARICE IN AUDIO - 'Shine & burn'
Alfa Matrix has been using the catchline "Electronic Music With Attitude" as their main label slogan for years. Their recent signing from Australia, AVARICE IN AUDIO, are a band that truly embrace the Alfa Matrix mantra, and show expertise in their craft with a unique blend of Synthpop/EDM and Dark Electro stylings. Coming into their own on the successful lead single "Frostbite" released a few months earlier, the full length debut is here in the form of "Shine & Burn", a mixture of melodic trance and emotional aggression sure to set the world on fire: "Stars exist to Shine & Burn"...
Cold soundscapes, decadent baselines, romantic leads and a beauty and beast style vocal dichotomy between members Jade Pegg & Gerry Hawkins. Gerry's screaming and frantic vocals directly contrast with Jade's ethereal operatic vocal style, transforming the songs almost into an emotional war of attrition. The lyrics from Gerry are schizophrenic in delivery and subject, rushing from heartbreak to addiction, to self-imposed punishment and struggling with celebrity. While Jade's delivery comes with the touch of promise, of hope for finer things in the future. Songs like "The Cassandra Complex", "Bleed As One" & "Punished" show what the two are capable of, delivering a new style hybrid of genres together to make something catchy, thought provoking and danceable. Combined with extra collaborations with maverick dark electro producers ASCENSION EX, futurepop act XP8, futuristic artist REDUX and electro-rock darlings MiXE1, Jade & Gerry show off their versatility and genre slicing styles with surgical precision. Evoking comparisons to AYRIA, GRENDEL, L'AME IMMORTELLE or yet ASHBURY HEIGHTS and using the modern production styling of bands like NERO, AESTHETIC PERFECTION & VNV NATION is what AVARICE IN AUDIO deliver, a ultimate sonic experience rarely heard on a debut album naming them as candidate newcomer of the year on electro land?
Star Industry return with "Eilyne" 4-track single
The Belgian cult goth metal act STAR INDUSTRY have always favored quality over quantity, and their fans had to be very patient since the release of "Last Crusades" and its successor live album "Black Angel/White Devil" to finally now getting this new studio single; although the Belgian band remained very active playing across Europe the whole time and having the opportunity to test some new songs on stage…There could not have been any better song than "Eilyne" to serve as the appetizer for the band's forthcoming new studio album "The Renegade" which is in the final mixing stage now and is scheduled for an early 2015 street date! "Eilyne" depicts the story of a fallen movie-star with a straight dance floor appeal, catchy synth layers and STAR INDUSTRY's characteristic goth metal vocals and incisive guitar sound. The song also gets released as a club mix, as well as a more dramatic and almost operatic "Paris mix" version with a mix of piano, violins and big beats. Cherry on the cake, The Belgian gang offers here to their fans a very special B-side song that they recently rediscovered from early 1996 studio sessions for the "Iron Dust Crush" album, a classic melodic pearl with the unique characteristic sound of STAR INDUSTRY.

It’s hard to recognize the pretty 16 year-old Teyana Taylor poised in first position at the ballet barre. Her usually wild mane is pulled back into a scarf as she takes her final port de bras and retreats to the locker room with a tug of her leotard. “I’m not a girly girl,” she confesses with a shrug. “I don’t like wearing a spandex bodysuit.” When she returns, she’s rocking a fitted cap cocked over her gorgeous crop of corkscrew curls, a subtle sag in her Ice Cream jeans, and a pair of technicolor Air Force Ones. Yup, Teyana Taylor’s got her swagger back. You may already know Pharrell’s latest prot’g’ from her extravagant, 80′s-themed coming out party on MTV’s Sweet 16 or as the petite pop locker in Jay Z’s ‘Blue Magic’ video, but her V.I.P. status was established even before the cameos and big name industry endorsements. Lady Beyonce herself was so impressed with the Harlem bred triple threat’s moves that she asked her to teach her the Chicken Noodle Soup ‘ the popular dance Teyana helped innovate ‘ for her performance at the 2007 VMA’s. “That kind of love coming from Jay and Beyonce, was crazy, recalls Teyana. “When he said, ‘Yo, you’re a superstar. I’ll see you at the top,’ I was humbled, like wow!” With the release of her debut album, From A Planet Called Harlem (Star Trak/Intersope), Teyana finally gets to show off her killer pipes and full-bodied flow to the rest of the universe. The album is a macrocosm of R&B, pop rock, and rap and deliciously rich with sticky hooks and campy lyrical play. “From the songs to the production ‘ the whole direction of the album is insane,” explains the Star Trak maverick. “It’s a story about having fun.” Of course, the stylish femcee reps NYC to the fullest but it’s her offbeat, ‘afronaut’ edge that makes her such an undeniable rockstar ‘ she’s a seamless blend of hip hop hipster and skater chick. Her hybrid musical style is as rebellious and eclectic as her personality and that’s not the result of a brilliant marketing squad. Just peep her iTunes playlist and you’ll find her rocking out to My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Lauren Hill, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.
Grammy®-nominated hip-hop magnate Rick Ross releases his second full-length album record in less than one year, HOOD BILLIONAIRE. The new album’s first advance track, “Elvis Presley Blvd” - featuring Memphis native Project Pat and produced by Atlanta’s legendary DJ Toomp – has ignited the streets with a video making the rounds online. HOOD BILLIONAIRE is the follow-up to Ricky Rozay’s Mastermind, which was released March 2014 and became his fifth career album to debut at #1 Soundscan. The first official single from HOOD BILLIONAIRE is "Keep Doing That (Rich Chick)” feat. R Kelly. Mastermind’s stunning #1 chart debut seven months ago was underscored by back-to-back New York City appearances on NBC’s [then new] The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Late Night with Seth Meyers; as well as a performance on The Arsenio Hall Show in Los Angeles. Ross made Tonight Show history in New York (where he performed “The Devil Is A Lie”) – the first rap artist to perform on the show from its new studios at 30 Rock. The Mastermind rollout climaxed with a sold-out concert at the Best Buy Theater in New York hosted by Hot 97 radio. Reviewing the show, the New York Times hailed Ross as “one of hip-hop’s kingpins… one of hip-hop’s most important and theatrical figures”; and praised Mastermind for its “striking, subtle musical moments throughout.” Mastermind succeeded Ross’ 2012 release, God Forgives, I Don’t, his fourth album to debut at #1 Soundscan, which included top hits “Touch'N You” featuring Usher, “So Sophisticated” featuring Meek Mill, and fan favorite “Diced Pineapples” featuring Drake and Wale. Ross’ previous best-selling albums include Port Of Miami (2006), Trilla (2008), and Deeper Than Rap (2009), all of which debuted at #1 Soundscan; and Teflon Don (2010).
Iggy Azalea’s new album ‘Reclassified’ includes 7 tracks from her debut album ‘The New Classic’ alongside 5 brand new tracks. Charli XCX’ and “Black Widow feat. Rita Ora” Shaking up her debut album, “The New Classic”, Iggy releases “Reclassified” an impressive deluxe version of her debut including five new stellar tracks featuring three impressive vocal collaborations with US superstar, Jennifer Hudson, the global pop-sensation, Ellie Goulding and new Danish buzz artist of the moment, MØ - all of which have been produced by The Invisible Men. ‘Beg For It ft. MØ’ is the first single from the ‘Reclassified’ album on 24th November. With over half a billion YouTube views and half a million albums sold worldwide, Iggy inexorable march to global domination continues. Iggy’s ultimate summer smash hit single “Fancy feat. Charli XCX” has sold over 7 million copies worldwide, and has become the most streamed track ever on US Spotify.
